Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) is the air force in the Malaysian Armed Forces. The team is tasked to defend the airspace of Malaysia and is equipped with fighter jets and carriers. Royal Malaysian Air Force was established in 1958 as the Federation of Malaya Air Force. But history can be traced RMAF far ahead with the establishment of Air Force Volunteer Malaya (Malayan Auxiliary Air Force) as a local branch of the British Royal Air Force at the time of British colonial rule.
